Chain Broaching Machines

These high-output production machines, as their name suggests, have usually the parts mounted on a chain that continuously feeds them. The broach tools are mounted in a tunnel like setting further on the path and are stationary. The main advantage of these machines is that not having a return stroke, cycle times are short, thus permitting high production rates. There is one draw back to this type of production. Since parts are feed continuously and driven by a chain, the broached features are not as accurate as in other broaching settings. There are instances when parts do not require tight tolerances and therefore this type of broaching due to its production output benefits will be the machining choice.
